Position description: This position will enhance the opportunities for PCUSA congregations to participate in the joint mission of the INPM and the PCUSA at Puentes de Cristo Presbyterian Border Ministry through providing coordination/facilitation of the Mission Team Ministry.
Essential job tasks and
responsibilities:
- Assist mission teams with pre-visit planning and preparation.
- Interpret Mission Goals of PBM @ Puentes to programme participants
- Plan, schedual, and implement activities for mission teams in accord with the goals and objectives Puente's Mission Participation Programme
Mission description: Presbyterian Border Ministry (PBM)is a joint labor of the PCUSA and the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico. It is called to share a holistic gospel with those who live along the 2,000 mile US/Mexico border, by respoinding to spiritual, emotional, physical and material needs. Visiting mission groups learn about the spiritual, cultural, and social benefits of striving for mutual mission.
Programs: new church development, ministries of compassion, mission education through mission team visits and promoting justice in all areas.
