Position description: Health Mission On the Move drivers will work as teams to ensure that no one individual exceeds safe maximum driving times and distances on mission trips.
Essential job tasks and
responsibilities:
They must also be willing to complete any training related to driving this type of vehicle that is required.
Prior experience driving large vehicles is desirable, but not required.
A driver’s history form must be filled out at least three weeks prior to trip date. Driver’s history form will only be used to check driving records. While the primary responsibility of the driving team is to drive health van to and from events, setting up before and taking down after event may be requested.
Mission description: Health Mission on the Move (HMOM)is a new program bringing important health related services to areas of the US that are medically underserved. Provided through the office of National Health Ministries, HMOM is
an important way for Presbyterians to share our faith, address the health needs of people living in medically under-served areas, to get involved in direct mission at home.
Health Mission on the Move mission trips will enable volunteers – both health professionals and those who bring other experiences - to go to under-served areas to help address unmet health needs and assist people who may feel isolated or alone. When you volunteer, you will receive information and training.

Sites for the Health Mission on the Move must meet the requirement of being in the geographic areas lacking heath care services, or be in rural under-served areas with under-served population groups - throughout the US
The site locations for these mission trips will be selected cooperatively with the congregation or other group(s) underwriting the trip; National Health Ministries, with representation and input from middle-governing bodies; Presbyterian Women, the Rural Church Network, and appropriate others within PC(USA.

Drivers for Health Mission on the Move must complete required protocol including background, driving and insurance checks.
Drivers who have been convicted of DUI or DWI will not be considered.

The ability to speak and understand Spanish is desired. The ability to respect and value culturally and geographically based characteristics and practices is absolutely necessary.
