Position description: Sales and fundraising; newsletter writing; speaking, traveling to churches and/or civic organizations in eastern USA; running the Shop; handling mail orders; maintaining contact with craftmakers.

responsibilities:
As Christian witness in action to facilitate sales, travel, booking of shows, and grant writing to bring much needed income into this economically depressed area of Appalachia.
Mission description: Mission Statement: “The mission of Morris Fork Crafts is to relieve the poor, depressed, unemployed and underprivileged by encouraging the development and preservation of handcraft skills and local arts which are traditional and indigenous to the Appalachian Mountains area by encouraging the production of handcrafts using such skills and art.”

Required experience, licenses and
certifications:
Mission Volunteers should be physically able to pack crafts, load van or truck, and drive to show/sales sites. Cross/cultural experience and/or skills is required. Mission Volunteers must have a willingness to work with all ages and socio-economic levels. Mission Volunteers must be self-motivated and able to work and travel without supervision. Their education level should enable them to create newsletters and grant requests, and to speak at church and civic functions.

Mission Volunteers will be living rent-free in a one bedroom apartment in the craft building or a two bedroom trailer on the property.
