Position description: Health Mission On the Move is currently seeking Logistical Generalists who will aid in the planning, logistics and setup at Health Mission on the Move events.
Logistical Generalists are the foundation of Health Mission on the Move and will interact with the people being served by the mission trip. Logistical Generalists should possess excellent organization skills, and excellent oral/written communication skills, must be culturally competent, must be friendly and approachable.
Essential job tasks and
responsibilities:
Duties performed by volunteers include and are not limited too, setting up and taking down after event. Registering participants at event and making sure all appropriate forms are filled before allowing participants to engage in activities. Maintaining all paperwork sorted and in order for Heath Mission On the Move staff. Logistical Generalists will also provide basic information related to Health Mission on the Move, and will help regulate the flow of participants, aiding them in entering and exiting health van.
Logistical Generalists will also ensure that appropriate materials are available and maintain the supply of resources.
Logistical Generalists may be asked to travel with the Health Mission on the Move van and will support the general purpose of the program.
Mission description: Health Mission on the Move (HMOM)is a new program bringing important health related services to areas of the US that are medically underserved. Provided through the office of National Health Ministries, HMOM is
an important way for Presbyterians to share our faith, address the health needs of people living in medically under-served areas, to get involved in direct mission at home.
Health Mission on the Move mission trips will enable volunteers – both health professionals and those who bring other experiences - to go to under-served areas to help address unmet health needs and assist people who may feel isolated or alone. When you volunteer, you will receive information and training.
Health Mission on the Move services will include health risk assessments, blood pressure checks, and basic vision screenings. People discovered to have medical issues will be referred to healt

Sites for the Health Mission on the Move must meet the requirement of being in the geographic areas lacking heath care services, or be in rural under-served areas with under-served population groups - throughout the US
The site locations for these mission trips will be selected cooperatively with the congregation or other group(s) underwriting the trip; National Health Ministries, with representation and input from middle-governing bodies; Presbyterian Women, the Rural Church Network, and appropriate others within PC(USA.
